"Well aside from money, you have what I call dick crimes. Dicks get you in trouble."

I'm pretty sure this was a short story, it's hard to tell when I have books on my Kindle. In any event, it was an enjoyable little mystery. I liked the cop character. He was all hard-boiled and clever. It made me think of a t.v. mystery - where the murder is solved in a half hour. This guy solved the murder, even eliciting a confession, within a matter of hours.

When I die, I think I'd like to be described as hard-boiled. None of this, "she was a great person.....she was kind to kittens and old ladies...." b.s. I prefer hard-boiled.
